Peter began playing bass at the age of 14. At 15 he was playing in covers band Tracks in Canberra and surrounding NSW. At 16 he was part of a jazz rock ensemble for the world’s first ever stage production of Grease.

As a young adult Peter was part of Brisbane based gospel rock band Masterpeace. Masterpeace played support for American gospel artist David Meece on one of his Australian tours. A young Robby Kernaghan also sang with Masterpeace on one occasion.
​
Peter then took a long break from music to pursue a career in the Queensland Police Service.
In 2012 Peter returned to the music scene as a bass player for two time Toyota Star Maker finalist Victoria Edwards. Peter has accompanied Victoria on numerous occasions including two Tamworth Country Music Festivals and as support for The McClymonts, Troy Cassar-Daley and McAlister Kemp.
