Peter has been playing guitar since the age of 12. He picked up the bass at the age of 14. He played in covers bands and high school musicals as a teenager and was part of a jazz rock ensemble for the first ever stage production of Grease.
As a young adult he played in the very slick Brisbane based gospel rock band, Masterpeace. Robby Kernaghan (wife of Lee) sang with Masterpeace on one occasion in her younger days.
After a long break Peter returned to the music scene as a bass player and backing vocalist for two time Toyota Star Maker finalist Victoria Edwards. Together they have played support to The McClymonts, Troy Cassar-Daley and McAlister Kemp.
Since meeting Lawrie Minson at the 2014 Tamworth Country Music Festival, Peter began writing his own material and has since embarked on a solo career.
Early in 2017 Peter released his debut EP ‘Better Late Than Never.’ One of the tracks, ‘The Lost Soldier’ made the finals at the Tamworth Songwriter’s Association Awards two years running (2016/2017).
Peter was also a finalist at the 2018 Independent Country Music Australia Awards for Most Popular Country EP and at the 2018 AAA Musiclinx Awards for Best New Talent.
